The Sennheiser Momentum 4 is a wireless over-ear headphone built with a closed acoustic system to aid in passive noise isolation. Audio is produced by 42 mm dynamic drivers that cover a frequency range of 6 Hz to 22,000 Hz, with an impedance of 60 ohms. The construction uses plastic and leatherette materials with a padded headband intended for comfort during extended use. For connectivity, the headphones use Bluetooth 5.2 and support multiple codecs, including SBC, AAC, and aptX Adaptive for different devices. A detachable 3.5 mm cable and a USB-C port are also available for wired audio connections.

This model incorporates a Hybrid Adaptive Active Noise Cancelling system to reduce the level of ambient environmental sounds. For voice communication, it is equipped with a four-microphone MEMS array that utilizes digital signal processing to help isolate the user's voice from background noise. The earcup surfaces integrate touch-sensitive controls for managing music playback, volume adjustments, and handling incoming calls. Additional customization, such as EQ presets and ANC modes, is accessible through the Sennheiser Smart Control mobile application for compatible Android and iOS devices.
