The Keychron Q6 M1-BO is a full-size mechanical keyboard constructed with a CNC-machined aluminum body. Its double-gasket mount design isolates the PCB and plate, which modifies the acoustic profile and provides a cushioned typing feel. Users can select between Gateron Jupiter Red linear switches or Jupiter Banana tactile switches, and the board is hot-swappable to allow for switch customization without soldering. Connectivity is handled via a detachable USB-C cable, a low-latency 2.4 GHz wireless receiver, or Bluetooth 5.1 for pairing with multiple devices.

For performance-oriented tasks, the keyboard offers a 1000 Hz polling rate in both wired and 2.4 GHz modes, alongside N-key rollover to ensure all inputs are registered correctly. Full customization is available through QMK and VIA firmware, enabling users to remap keys, create macros, and adjust the south-facing RGB backlighting. The keycaps are made from durable double-shot PBT plastic, designed to resist wear over time. The unit is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
