The Zalman P40 Prism is a mid-tower chassis constructed with a steel frame and three 4mm tempered glass panels on the front, side, and top. This design provides an open view of internal components from multiple angles. It accommodates standard ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX motherboards. The case includes integrated cable management features and dust filters to facilitate a clean build and maintain system performance. Its internal layout supports a standard ATX power supply at the bottom.

The thermal design offers fan mounts on the top, side, and bottom panels, each supporting up to three 120mm fans. A single 120mm ARGB fan is pre-installed in the rear exhaust position. For liquid cooling, the case supports up to a 360mm radiator on both the top and side mounts. The chassis provides seven expansion slots, with a rotating PCI bracket for horizontal or vertical GPU orientation, and has clearance for CPU coolers up to 165mm in height.
