The Thermaltake Ceres 500 TG ARGB is a mid-tower chassis constructed with a focus on airflow. It features extensive perforated panels on the front and top to promote ventilation for internal components. The case is equipped with four pre-installed 140mm CT140 ARGB fans to establish an immediate cooling pathway. A 3mm thick tempered glass side panel provides a view of the system's interior, secured to a durable metal frame.

This chassis offers broad component compatibility, supporting motherboard form factors from Mini-ITX up to E-ATX. For cooling hardware, it provides clearance for CPU air coolers up to 185mm in height and substantial liquid cooling systems, with space for a 420mm radiator in the front and a 360mm radiator in the top. Its seven PCI-E slots are rotatable, enabling either traditional horizontal or vertical graphics card mounting. The design also incorporates features for cable management and storage, with support for multiple 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch drives.
