The Fractal Design Torrent Compact is a mid-tower case engineered for high-performance air cooling within a reduced footprint. Its design centers on an open, grid-style front panel and two pre-installed 180 mm RGB PWM fans to facilitate maximum air intake. A distinctive feature is the top-mounted power supply enclosure, which creates an unobstructed interior layout for airflow from optional bottom-mounted fans. This configuration is specifically intended for builds that prioritize direct, unimpeded cooling for the primary heat-generating components.

The chassis accommodates a range of motherboard form factors, from Mini-ITX up to SSI-CEB and E-ATX (up to 274 mm wide). For hardware compatibility, it provides 174 mm of clearance for CPU coolers and 210 mm for the ATX power supply. While optimized for air, it also supports liquid cooling with radiator mounts at the front, bottom, and rear. The build process is supported by integrated cable management channels, and the final assembly is displayed through a light-tinted tempered glass side panel.
