The Noctua NH-D9L is a compact dual-tower CPU cooling solution designed specifically for systems with strict space limitations, such as HTPCs, ITX builds, and 3U rackmount enclosures. With a height of 110 mm, the cooler maintains high compatibility, ensuring clearance over RAM modules and the first PCIe slot on most standard motherboards. Heat is efficiently transferred from the CPU base through four 6 mm copper heat pipes, which are fully nickel plated for enhanced structural integrity.

The heatsink assembly utilizes a 92 mm NF-A9 PWM fan, engineered for balancing thermal performance with low acoustic output. This fan operates across a controlled range, delivering a maximum airflow of 78.9 m³/h and static pressure of 2.28 mmH₂O. The thermal package leverages an SSO2 bearing for high reliability and a Mean Time To Failure (MTTF) rating of 150,000 hours. The cooler includes the SecuFirm2 mounting system, ensuring secure installation across multiple modern and legacy processor platforms, including AM5 and LGA1700.
