This specialized cable connects source devices equipped with a Mini DisplayPort output to monitors or projectors utilizing a standard DisplayPort input. It is engineered to DisplayPort 1.2 specifications, supporting a maximum data transfer rate of 21.6 Gbit/s. The internal construction features copper conductors, complemented by a Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) jacket and gold plating on the contacts for optimal signal integrity and corrosion resistance.

The cable supports high-resolution video formats up to 4096 x 2160 pixels (4K Ultra HD) at a refresh rate of 60 Hz. High-speed video modes, such as 1080P and 2K resolutions running at 144 Hz, are also supported, alongside 3D video content. Integration includes support for High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP).
