Noctua NL-ACF1 80 mm Auxiliary Cooling Fan, Brown

The Noctua NL-ACF1 is an auxiliary fan designed for the NL-LC1 series of liquid coolers. Liquid cooling loops often leave the area around the CPU socket without active ventilation, which can lead to heat buildup in nearby components. This fan mounts directly to the pump or block of a compatible AIO unit to address this issue. By moving air over hardware such as VRM circuitry, memory modules, and M.2 SSDs, it helps regulate their operating temperatures. The unit uses an NF-A8 impeller to direct airflow toward the motherboard, achieving a maximum of 32.7 cfm. At its maximum speed of 2200 RPM, it provides enough airflow to keep surface temperatures stable during high system loads.

The NL-ACF1 requires a Noctua NL-LC1 series all-in-one cooler for installation. It uses the NA-STM1 magnetic and adhesive mounting kit, which removes the need for complex mounting brackets. Motherboards can automatically control the fan speed based on current temperatures, allowing the fan to stop (0 RPM) when active cooling is unnecessary. Even at full capacity, the motor and blade design keep the noise level to 17.7 dB(A). The fan connects via a standard 4-pin PWM header. An included adapter frame helps direct the airflow where it is needed most, making the unit a practical solution for users dealing with restricted airflow in densely packed cases.
