The XGIMI Aura 2 is an ultra-short-throw projector that uses a laser-based DLP light source to produce a native resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. With a brightness rated at 2300 ANSI lumens, it is designed for various ambient light conditions. The device supports multiple High Dynamic Range formats, including Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG, which work with its 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio to enhance image depth. The laser light source has a service life of approximately 20,000 hours, providing long-term operation without frequent replacement.

For connectivity, the projector includes two HDMI ports with eARC support, three USB 2.0 Type-A ports, and an Ethernet LAN port for a wired network connection. Wireless capabilities are handled by integrated Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.2. The system operates on the Android TV 11.0 platform, offering direct access to streaming applications and services. Screen mirroring from compatible mobile devices is available through Miracast support, adding to its content source flexibility.
