The CORSAIR 3500X RS-R is a mid-tower PC case constructed with a steel frame and tempered glass side panels, finished in white. It is designed to accommodate a range of motherboard form factors, including EATX, ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX. The chassis features a layout that prioritizes airflow from the side, top, and bottom, as it does not include front fan mounts. For system assembly and maintenance, the case incorporates features such as integrated cable management routing and dust filters.

This case is equipped for thermal management, supporting up to ten 120mm fans in total. It comes with three 120mm ARGB fans pre-installed in the side position and one 120mm fan at the rear. For users implementing liquid cooling, the case provides mounting points for radiators up to 360mm on the top and side panels, with an additional 120mm mount at the rear. The ARGB lighting on the included fans is controllable via compatible motherboards or a separate controller.

Component clearance allows for CPU coolers up to 170mm in height and standard ATX power supplies up to 180mm in length. The case provides seven expansion slots for peripheral cards. The top-accessible I/O panel includes two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, and a combination audio jack. Storage capacity consists of dedicated bays for two 3.5-inch drives and two 2.5-inch drives.
