It functions by offsetting the motherboard mounting plane, which in turn frees up critical space within the main chassis chamber. The bracket's construction is durable steel with a black finish to match the intended enclosures.

The practical benefit of this increased volume is significantly expanded component compatibility. It facilitates the installation of 240mm or 280mm radiators for liquid cooling solutions, accommodating a total fan and radiator thickness of up to 88mm in certain positions. Furthermore, the extension enables the use of standard ATX power supplies and allows for Micro-ATX motherboard support in the Meshroom D. This extra space also provides more flexibility for routing custom liquid cooling tubes and managing cables effectively.
