It is equipped with a 1.2-inch IPS TFT color touchscreen that features an ambient light sensor for automatic brightness adjustment. For location tracking during outdoor exercise, the device connects to a compatible smartphone's GPS, which supports its broad selection of over 130 sport profiles. The watch's optical heart rate sensor provides continuous measurement for tracking daily metrics and assessing exercise intensity.

This device offers detailed sleep analysis through its Sleep Plus Stages feature, which tracks light, deep, and REM sleep stages and generates a nightly sleep score. This data is used by the Nightly Recharge function to evaluate recovery status, helping to inform decisions about training and rest. Additionally, the FitSpark feature provides personalized daily workout suggestions based on the user's recovery data, fitness level, and training history. All activity and health data is synchronized and can be viewed in the Polar Flow companion application.

The internal battery delivers up to four days of use with continuous heart rate tracking enabled, or up to 50 hours of continuous training time when using the connected GPS function.
