The StarTech PRIVSCNMON32 is a privacy screen filter designed for 32-inch widescreen monitors with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It utilizes microlouver technology to narrow the viewing angle to plus or minus 30 degrees from the center, effectively obscuring the screen for individuals viewing from the sides. This physical security measure helps prevent unauthorized viewing of confidential data in shared office spaces or open environments. The filter measures 708 mm in width and 398 mm in height, providing full coverage for compatible LCD displays.

This filter features a reversible design with a matte side and a glossy side to suit different lighting conditions. The matte surface reduces glare and reflections in bright settings, while the glossy side maintains higher screen clarity. Additionally, the matte side includes an antimicrobial coating to inhibit the growth of bacteria on the surface. The filter also functions as a blue light reducer, blocking up to 51% of blue light emissions to help minimize eye strain during extended periods of computer use.

Installation is managed via two methods: adhesive strips for a permanent fix or slide-mount tabs for quick removal and reattachment. The plastic construction provides a durable layer that protects the underlying monitor from scratches, dust, and fingerprints. Included in the package is a cleaning cloth to assist with regular maintenance of the filter surface. This model is TAA compliant and is intended for use with non-touchscreen monitors.
