The Lian Li Lancool 217 is a mid-tower chassis constructed from a steel frame, a 4mm tempered glass side panel, and wood trim accents. Its design focuses on high-volume airflow, facilitated by a full mesh front panel and two pre-installed 170mm ARGB fans at the intake. A 140mm fan is also included at the rear for exhaust, establishing a direct front-to-back air path. The case provides broad compatibility for large components, with support for E-ATX motherboards and a substantial maximum CPU cooler height.

For cooling expansion, the chassis supports up to a 360mm radiator in both the front and top positions. Storage is handled by a combination drive cage that accommodates both 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch drives. Builder-centric features include a bottom-mounted PSU shroud, integrated cable management channels, and a dust filter for simplified maintenance.
