The HMD Amped Buds are a true wireless in-ear headset designed for general audio playback and voice calls. Each earbud utilizes a hybrid driver system that combines a 10 mm dynamic driver with a balanced armature driver. This configuration is intended to handle distinct parts of the frequency spectrum. The headset connects to devices using Bluetooth 5.4 and supports the Google Fast Pair protocol for streamlined setup with compatible Android hardware. The in-ear design provides a degree of passive noise isolation.

For active sound management, the earbuds are equipped with Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation to reduce ambient environmental sounds. Voice communication is handled by a six-microphone array that features Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) to improve vocal clarity during calls.
