The CORSAIR FRAME 5000D RS is a mid-tower ATX case constructed with a steel frame, a tempered glass side panel, and high-airflow steel panels. Its design accommodates a wide range of motherboard form factors, from Mini-ITX to E-ATX (up to 305mm x 277mm). The chassis provides substantial internal volume for large components and offers flexible configuration options for custom builds, supported by features such as an integrated cable management system.

Cooling performance is addressed with four pre-installed 140mm PWM fans and extensive mounting options for additional cooling hardware. The case supports radiators up to 420mm on the top panel and up to 360mm in the front and side locations, enabling multi-radiator liquid cooling setups. Removable dust filters are included on the primary air intakes to facilitate maintenance and help protect internal components from particle buildup.

For component installation, the case offers clearance for CPU coolers up to 175mm in height and power supplies up to 250mm long. Storage options include dedicated bays for two 3.5-inch drives and six 2.5-inch drives. The front I/O panel provides access to four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, and a combination audio jack for direct peripheral connectivity.
