The MONTECH X5 is a mid-tower case designed with a focus on airflow and component visibility. Its front panel is constructed from mesh to facilitate air intake, while a hinged tempered glass side panel allows for an unobstructed view of the internal hardware. The chassis accommodates a broad range of motherboard standards, including E-ATX and SSI CEB, providing flexibility for various build types. For system assembly and maintenance, the design incorporates features such as dedicated cable management channels and an adjustable support bracket to mitigate graphics card sag.

Cooling is handled by four pre-installed ARGB fans, with three 140 mm units at the front and one 120 mm unit at the rear. The case supports extensive liquid cooling configurations, with mounting positions for 360 mm radiators in both the front and top locations. Component compatibility includes clearance for CPU coolers up to 165 mm in height and standard ATX power supplies up to 230 mm in length.
