The Montech NX400 is an air-based cooling tower designed to manage thermal loads for a variety of desktop processors. Heat is efficiently drawn away from the CPU contact point through four integrated heat pipes. Dissipation is handled by a single 120 mm cooling fan mounted to the aluminum fin array. This fan utilizes a Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) and supports Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) control via a 4-pin connector, allowing speeds to fluctuate between 800 RPM and 2000 RPM based on system demand.

At its maximum speed, the cooler delivers 85.09 CFM of airflow, generating a static pressure of 3.35 mmH₂O. The corresponding maximum noise level is measured at 34.17 dB. The unit's overall dimensions are 156 mm high, 120 mm deep, and 74 mm wide, with a total weight of 874 g. Compatibility includes current Intel LGA 1700, LGA 1851, and AMD AM5 socket types, alongside previous generations like LGA1200 and AM4.
