The Phanteks Evolv X2 is a mid-tower chassis built with a steel frame, aluminum panels, and a tempered glass side panel. It accommodates motherboards from Mini-ITX up to the E-ATX form factor. The design utilizes a bottom-intake airflow system, drawing air through the base to directly cool internal components. This layout provides thermal headroom for high-performance hardware and maintains a clean interior aesthetic.

For thermal management, the case offers extensive liquid and air cooling configurations. It provides mounting locations for 360mm radiators at the top, front, and side, with an additional 120mm mount at the rear. This flexibility allows for the installation of custom loops or multiple all-in-one liquid coolers to manage component temperatures effectively in demanding applications such as gaming or content creation.

Storage is handled by a cage for two 3.5-inch drives and dedicated mounts for five 2.5-inch drives. The front I/O panel includes two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, and a combo audio jack. The chassis also features integrated D-RGB lighting strips and provides dedicated channels for organized cable routing.
