The Netgear Orbi 770 Series Add-on Satellite (RBE770) is designed to extend coverage for an existing Orbi 770 mesh system installation. This unit operates on the Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) standard, utilizing a Tri-band configuration spanning the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz frequencies. The satellite is specified to provide an aggregate wireless data transfer rate of up to 11000 Mbit/s across these three bands, supporting seamless connectivity for high-bandwidth applications. Integrated Beamforming and MU-MIMO technologies help maintain signal integrity and support network loads of up to 100 concurrently connected devices.

Internal hardware includes a quad-core 1500 MHz processor, providing the necessary processing capability for managing data across the tri-band spectrum. Wired connectivity is maintained using two dedicated 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports, facilitating high-speed wired backhaul or local device attachment. Security protocols implemented include WPA3 encryption, a system firewall, and Denial-of-Service (DoS) attack prevention features. Additional management features such as Quality of Service (QoS), parental controls, and VPN support are configurable via the administrative interface.
