TP-Link JetStream SG2428P - Managed PoE+ Switch, Black

The TP-Link JetStream SG2428P is a 24-port PoE+ Gigabit managed switch with four SFP slots and a 250 W power budget. It functions as an L2/L2+ device for traffic segmentation and power delivery. The 24 RJ45 ports are intended for edge connections, while the four 1 Gbps SFP slots provide fiber uplinks to core network infrastructure. With a 56 Gbit/s switching capacity and a forwarding rate of 41.7 Mpps, the switch maintains full-duplex communication across all interfaces simultaneously. The device also serves as a power source, supporting the 802.3at PoE+ standard on all copper ports.

Housed in a 1U metal chassis, the switch fits into standard 19-inch racks and uses two internal fans for active cooling. Administrators can manage the network via a web interface, the command-line interface, or the Omada cloud-based controller. For network segmentation, the system supports up to 4,000 active VLANs, including voice and MAC-based VLANs. Traffic prioritization is managed through eight hardware queues and various scheduling algorithms to support latency-sensitive data. Security features include IP-MAC-Port binding, ARP inspection, and an access control list with 230 rules. At full load, the switch draws up to 301.1 W of AC power.
