The ASUS TUF Gaming BE6500 is a dual-band tabletop router utilizing the Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) standard. It provides a maximum combined wireless throughput of 6500 Mbit/s, delivering up to 688 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band and 5764 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band. This hardware implements 4096-QAM modulation and features six external detachable antennas. Integrated MU-MIMO and beamforming technologies assist in managing data transmission for up to 128 devices, while intelligent mesh technology allows for expanded network configurations across compatible hardware.

Wired connectivity is provided through four 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports, facilitating high-speed local area networking. A single USB 3.2 Gen 1 port is available for Samba storage or 4G/5G mobile network failover via a compatible external modem. Security features include WPA3 encryption, a built-in firewall, and parental controls with web filtering and scheduling capabilities. The router supports various VPN protocols, including WireGuard and OpenVPN, and is manageable through a web-based interface. This unit is housed in a black plastic chassis and is designed for desktop installation.
