The NZXT Kraken Elite RGB 280 is an all-in-one liquid cooler designed for processor thermal management in modern computer systems. It pairs a 280mm aluminum radiator with two 140mm Fluid Dynamic Bearing fans to dissipate heat from the CPU. The pump unit, which features a copper cold plate for direct contact, circulates liquid coolant to maintain stable operating temperatures. A 2.72-inch IPS display is integrated into the pump head, providing a surface for system monitoring data or user-defined images and animations.
System performance and aesthetics are configured using the NZXT CAM software, which provides control over fan and pump speeds as well as the customizable RGB lighting. The two 140mm fans are PWM-controlled, enabling their rotational speed to adjust automatically from 500 to 2000 RPM based on thermal loads. This cooler supports a wide range of processor sockets, including Intel's LGA 1700 and 1851, and AMD's AM4 and AM5 platforms. Its 400mm sleeved tubes offer sufficient length and durability for routing within various computer cases.
