The MicroConnect CAT8.1 S/FTP extension cable is designed to extend existing network connections while maintaining high-speed data transmission standards. This 1.5-meter cable supports a bandwidth of up to 2000 MHz and a data transfer rate of 40 Gbit/s. It utilizes a stranded copper conductor with an AWG 26 wire size to provide consistent signal performance across the connection. The S/FTP shielding architecture helps protect the data stream from electromagnetic interference in professional and home networking environments.

This cable features a male RJ-45 connector and a female RJ-45 socket, both of which are equipped with metal shells for connector-level shielding. The outer jacket is made from Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) material, which limits the release of smoke and toxic gases in the event of a fire. A molded boot with latch protection is integrated into the design to prevent cable damage and ensure secure port attachment. Additionally, the cable is compatible with Power over Ethernet (PoE) standards 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt.
