The ASUS ZenWiFi BD4 is a dual-band mesh system utilizing the Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) standard. This three-pack configuration provides a maximum combined Wi-Fi speed of 3600 Mbit/s, with up to 688 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band and 2882 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band. It uses 4096-QAM modulation and intelligent mesh technology to cover a maximum area of 600 m². The system incorporates four internal antennas and supports MU-MIMO and beamforming for efficient data distribution across multiple devices.

For wired connectivity, each node features two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports. The system includes 512 MB of internal memory and supports web-based management for network configuration. Security protocols include WPA3-Personal encryption, a built-in firewall, and URL filtering. The hardware supports VPN protocols including WireGuard and OpenVPN, alongside guest access and parental controls. Each unit measures 140 mm by 140 mm and is designed for desktop placement or wall mounting.
