The TP-Link POE260S is a 2.5G PoE+ injector that delivers power and data over a single Ethernet cable. It converts a standard non-PoE LAN connection into a PoE-enabled link for compatible devices. The injector provides a total power budget of 30W on its single output port and supports the IEEE 802.3at PoE+ standard. It handles data rates of 10, 100, 1000, and 2500 Mbit/s to accommodate high-bandwidth hardware. As a midspan device, it allows for the installation of network hardware in areas without nearby electrical outlets. The unit complies with IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at specifications for regulated power delivery.

The device is compatible with IEEE 802.3af/at equipment, ensuring safe power delivery. An autosensing feature protects non-PoE hardware by providing power only when a compatible device is detected. For physical installation, the unit can be wall-mounted or placed on a desktop. LED indicators show power and PoE status. Setup is plug-and-play, requiring no software or manual configuration. The maximum operating distance for both power and data is 100 metres. The unit measures 125 mm wide and 59.4 mm deep.
