This process optimizes the contact area between the CPU and the cooler baseplate, improving thermal transfer efficiency. The tool operates by simulating the final CPU position within the socket when used in conjunction with a specialized CPU Contact Frame.

The lapping guide is CNC-milled from clear acrylic material, providing a stable and geometrically sound platform for the manual material removal procedure. Dimensions measure 80 mm in width, 80 mm in depth, and 15 mm in height, allowing for ergonomic handling during the required surface finishing process.
