The Skullcandy Rail earbuds are equipped with 6 mm dynamic drivers, providing audio across a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. They connect to source devices using Bluetooth 5.2 for a stable wireless link during music playback and calls. The in-ear, canal-style design is intended to create a seal for passive noise isolation. To accommodate different ear shapes, the product includes three sizes of silicone ear gels, which helps to secure the earbuds during various activities.

For voice communication, each earbud features a Clear Voice Smart Mic that is designed to reduce ambient background noise. The internal battery provides up to 9 hours of continuous audio playback on a single charge. With the included charging case, the total battery life is extended to 42 hours. These earbuds have an IP55 rating for resistance against dust and water ingress, making them suitable for use during exercise. A combination of touch and physical button controls are located on the earbuds for playback and call management.
