The TP-Link Archer Air R5 is a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 router (802.11ax) designed for discreet installation in homes and small office environments. Its ultra-thin chassis measures 10.8 mm in depth and supports wall-mounting for flexible placement options. The router provides a combined maximum wireless transfer rate of 2976 Mbit/s. This speed is distributed across the 5 GHz band, offering up to 2402 Mbit/s, and the 2.4 GHz band, providing up to 574 Mbit/s for legacy devices and extended range.

Wired connectivity is handled by a single Gigabit Ethernet port, which operates as both the WAN and LAN connection for the device.
