The 1.1-inch monochrome, transflective memory-in-pixel (MIP) display has a resolution of 176 x 176 pixels and is designed for readability in direct sunlight. This model includes tactical-specific features such as dual-position coordinates and specialized activity modes for operational use.

Positioning is handled by a multi-GNSS receiver supporting GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo, enhanced with multi-band frequency for improved accuracy. Navigation is aided by a suite of sensors, including a barometric altimeter for elevation data, a barometer to monitor weather, and a 3-axis electronic compass. The device offers numerous sport-specific profiles for activities such as running, cycling, and swimming. When paired with a compatible smartphone, it provides smart notifications, music controls, and access to the Garmin Connect app for data synchronization.

Health and wellness monitoring functions include wrist-based heart rate, a Pulse Ox sensor for blood oxygen saturation, and detailed sleep and stress tracking. The watch analyzes performance metrics such as VO2 max, training readiness, and recovery time to provide insight into fitness levels. Battery performance is rated for up to 40 days in smartwatch mode and up to 60 hours in standard GPS mode, with solar charging extending usage time between charges. It supports contactless payments via Garmin Pay™.
