The Sonos Era 300 is a wireless speaker engineered for spatial audio playback. It incorporates six internal drivers positioned at the front, sides, and top to project sound for broad room coverage. This driver array is optimized for Dolby Atmos Music, creating an immersive listening field from a single unit. The speaker utilizes automatic Trueplay technology to analyze the acoustic properties of a space and optimize its equalization settings. It can function as a standalone speaker or be integrated as rear surround channels with a compatible Sonos soundbar.

The device supports multiple wireless standards, including Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), Bluetooth 5.0, and Apple AirPlay 2 for direct streaming. A USB-C port also allows for a line-in connection to external audio sources using an optional adapter. As part of the Sonos ecosystem, it supports multiroom audio and is controlled via the Sonos app, which provides access to bass and treble adjustments. Voice control is available through Sonos Voice Control and other compatible assistants. Its enclosure is constructed from recycled plastics and is designed for stable placement on a tabletop or bookshelf.
