The NZXT Kraken RL-KR280-W1 is a 280mm closed-loop liquid cooler engineered for effective thermal management in PC systems. Its cooling apparatus consists of an aluminum radiator paired with two 140mm RGB Core fans and a high-performance Asetek pump. The fans utilize fluid dynamic bearings and support PWM control for precise speed adjustments between 500 and 1500 RPM. Heat transfer from the processor is handled by a copper base plate, while the components are connected via 400mm nylon-braided rubber tubing for durability and installation flexibility.
A 1.54-inch square LCD is integrated into the pump housing, which can be configured to display real-time system metrics or custom images. All functions, including fan and pump speeds, RGB lighting, and display content, are controlled through the NZXT CAM software. The cooler provides broad CPU compatibility with included mounting hardware for modern Intel sockets like LGA 1700 and AMD sockets such as AM5.
