The TP-Link Archer AX72 Pro is a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) router offering a maximum theoretical wireless transfer rate of 5400 Mbit/s. This performance is achieved through two concurrent bands: the 2.4 GHz band operates up to 574 Mbit/s for extended range coverage, while the 5 GHz band reaches up to 4804 Mbit/s for high-demand tasks. Six external antennas are utilized to facilitate coverage and stability across the operational area. The router supports Beamforming and MU-MIMO technology to efficiently manage connectivity for multiple devices simultaneously.
Wired connectivity is provided through five RJ45 Ethernet ports. One port supports flexible WAN or LAN usage at speeds up to 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, allowing connection to multi-gig ISPs or high-speed local network devices. The remaining ports function at standard Gigabit Ethernet speeds. The system features a dual-core 1000 MHz processor designed to maintain network performance and stability under heavy load conditions, supporting up to 100 connected devices. Network access control and security are implemented through WPA3 encryption, an SPI firewall, and integrated VPN Server and Client options.
