The SteelSeries Arena 9 is a 5.1 surround sound system designed for gaming environments. It includes four satellite speakers, a dedicated center channel speaker, and a 6.5-inch downward-firing subwoofer to produce positional audio. The two rear satellite speakers connect wirelessly, which allows for more flexible placement and reduces cable clutter in a room setup. The front speakers feature a two-way design with separate woofers and tweeters to handle different parts of the audio spectrum.

This system offers multiple connectivity options, including USB-C for PC, optical, and a standard 3.5mm auxiliary input. It also supports Bluetooth 4.2 for wireless audio streaming from compatible devices. All functions can be managed through an included control pod with an OLED screen, which provides access to volume control, input switching, and headset toggling. Further audio personalization, such as parametric EQ, is available through the SteelSeries Sonar software suite, which also controls the system's reactive RGB illumination.
