D-Link DAP-3711 - Wireless Bridge / Access Point, White

The D-Link DAP-3711 is a wireless bridge and access point for point-to-point connections over distances of up to 5 km. Using the Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) standard on the 5 GHz band, it provides a maximum wireless throughput of 867 Mbit/s. It is designed to connect separate buildings or extend local networks to remote sites where physical cabling is impractical. Integrated TDMA technology manages airtime allocation to reduce interference and maintain consistent performance. An internal high-gain antenna handles data transmission in this single-band configuration, providing a dedicated link for high-bandwidth applications such as real-time communication.

Connectivity is provided by two Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports supporting speeds up to 1000 Mbit/s. The unit is powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE), allowing for pole mounting with a single cable run. The ABS housing includes 8 kV surge protection to withstand electrical transients. Network administration is managed via a web-based interface, which includes a built-in DHCP server and IP address filtering. Security for the wireless link is maintained with 128-bit AES encryption. A hardware button is available for manual factory resets. The included adapter supports the PoE power requirements for standard installations.
