The D-Link DAP-X2850 is a dual-band indoor access point using the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard for high-capacity network environments. It operates on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, with a maximum combined throughput of 3600 Mbit/s. Individual speeds reach up to 1147 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band and 2402 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band. The device uses MU-MIMO and beamforming to manage data across multiple connected devices, while band steering automatically directs clients to the most appropriate frequency for stable performance.

Wired connectivity is provided through three RJ-45 ports: two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces and one standard Gigabit Ethernet port. The access point supports ceiling or wall mounting and is powered via PoE+ (802.3at). Network security includes support for protocols such as WPA3-Enterprise and 128-bit WEP. Management is handled via a web interface or the Nuclias Connect platform for centralized monitoring. The device also supports guest access and includes a DHCP server for local network address assignment.
