The D-Link DGS-1100-05V2/E 5-Port Gigabit Smart Managed Switch provides Layer 2 network control for environments requiring traffic management. The device features five Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 ports, each supporting data transfer rates of up to 1 Gbit/s. Unlike plug-and-play units, this managed switch requires initial configuration by an administrator. It directs local network traffic at a forwarding rate of 7.4 Mpps to maintain consistent communication between devices. The unit is powered by a 5 V DC input via an AC adapter.

The switch features a compact black desktop casing measuring 100.5 x 28 x 82 mm, designed for placement on desks or shelves. It weighs 230 g, making it easy to move when adjusting cables.
