The BENQ MW826STH is a short-throw projector that utilizes DLP projection technology to deliver a native WXGA resolution of 1280 x 800. It produces a brightness of 3500 ANSI lumens, making it suitable for use in rooms with ambient lighting. The projector features a 20,000:1 contrast ratio for clear image differentiation. Its lamp-based light source is rated for a service life of up to 6000 hours in normal mode, which can be extended to 10,000 hours in economic mode.

A primary feature is its short-throw lens, which has a throw ratio of 0.49:1. This allows the projector to create large images, from 70 to 120 inches, while being placed very close to the screen, a design that reduces shadows from presenters.
