The Zyxel WAC500H is a dual-radio wall-plate access point designed for room-level coverage in business environments. It supports the Wi-Fi 5 standard across concurrent 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, providing a maximum combined data rate of 1200 Mbit/s—specifically 866 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band and 300 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band. The device uses MU-MIMO technology for simultaneous communication with multiple clients and incorporates beamforming to direct signal strength toward connected devices.
Wired connectivity is provided via three Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 ports. The device is powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE), removing the need for a separate AC adapter, and supports PoE pass-through to supply power to additional hardware such as VoIP phones. Security features include WPA3 and WPA2-Enterprise encryption. Management is handled through a web-based interface or NebulaFlex Pro.
