The TP-Link Deco E4 is a dual-band whole-home mesh Wi-Fi system based on the 802.11ac standard. This three-unit configuration provides a maximum combined Wi-Fi speed of 1167 Mbit/s, with 867 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band and 300 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band. Using intelligent mesh technology, the system creates a unified network covering up to 370 square meters. It supports up to 100 simultaneous devices, utilizing two internal antennas per unit to maintain wireless signal distribution.
Wired connections are provided by two Fast Ethernet ports on each unit, operating at 10/100 Mbit/s for WAN and LAN functions. Security is handled through WPA2-Personal encryption, a built-in firewall, and parental controls with URL filtering. Management options include web-based tools, guest access, and Quality of Service prioritization. Each unit is housed in white plastic, measuring 190 mm in height, and is intended for desktop placement using the included AC adapters.
