The DELOCK 42607 is a dual-bay external enclosure designed to house two 2.5-inch SATA hard drives or solid-state drives. It utilizes a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C interface to connect to a host computer, providing data transfer rates of up to 10 Gbit/s. The metal housing measures 133 mm in depth, 89 mm in width, and 51 mm in height. This unit is powered by an external AC adapter, which provides a 5V/2A output to ensure stable drive performance during operation.

Users can configure the two installed drives into RAID 0, RAID 1, or JBOD modes via the Asmedia ASM1352R chipset. RAID 0 provides increased performance through data striping, while RAID 1 offers data redundancy by mirroring information across both drives. The JBOD setting allows for individual drive access or spanning across the total capacity without RAID functionality. This device supports hot-swap and plug-and-play operations, allowing for drive installation and removal without a system restart.
