Arris VIP 4302 Multicast box

VIP4302 (Multicast box that requires a direct cable to the fiber terminal's port 4)

Requirements for use:
- Internet connection via fiber in JNT's network or cooperatively owned fiber network:

• DynamoNet in Närpes
• KNT-Net in Terjärv
• NuNet in Nykarleby
• Pedersöre Fiber in Pedersöre
• Suupohjan Seutuverkko in Kauhajoki

JNT only provides IPTV in the following cooperatively owned fiber networks:

• KaseNet in Lestijärvi Keskikaista in Karleby
• GlobalConnect in Kristinestad (formerly KrsNet)

VIP7300 is a Streaming box that can collect all your streaming (such as Viaplay, Netflix and Disney+) and IPTV services from JNT.

The box is pre-configured with Ålcom's IPTV app and you just need to log in with your login details. The app can be deleted from the box and reinstalled if needed. The remote control has a separate button for the IPTV app.

The box works on wifi or with a network cable RJ45, JNT recommends the latter for the best experience.

The box is a Unicast box (TV services over the internet)

Some channels are not visible in VIP7300, as well as local channels and teletext.

VIP4302 is a Multicast box that is hard-configured with Ålcom's software that cannot be deleted by factory resetting the box. It only works in JNT's fiber network and requires it to be installed with an Ethernet cable directly into port number 4 on the customer's fiber terminal that is configured for IPTV. Most terminals are configured for IPTV and if they are not, port 4 is configured when the IPTV service is started.
With VIP4302, the customer has more possibilities than via VIP7300 or Ålcom's app directly on a smart TV. The entire range of channels is visible, teletext works, and the customer also has the option to rent movies and control their own selection in the box.
No new software updates are sent to VIP4302 or earlier models anymore. However, this does not mean that it will stop working.
