The I-TEC MySafe external enclosure is designed to house a single 2.5\" SATA hard drive or solid-state drive for data backups and recovery. Constructed from aluminium, the frame provides physical protection and assists with passive heat dissipation during extended data transfers. This unit supports drives with heights up to 9.5mm and is compatible with SATA I, II, and III interfaces. The enclosure measures 125mm by 78mm, providing a compact solution for repurposing internal storage components into portable drives.

Connection to host devices is established through a USB Type-C port using the USB 3.2 Gen 2 standard, allowing for data transfer rates of up to 10 Gbit/s.
