The CORSAIR Crystal Series 280X RGB is a Micro-ATX case built with a steel frame and three tempered glass panels for component visibility. Its principal design element is a dual-chamber internal layout, which separates the main hardware compartment from the power supply and storage drives. This configuration is intended to improve thermal management by isolating heat-generating components and to simplify cable routing for a clean interior. The chassis supports both Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards within its compact footprint.

Cooling capacity is a central focus, with multiple mounting locations for fans and liquid cooling radiators. The case accommodates up to a 280mm radiator in the front, and 240mm radiators in the top, rear, and bottom positions. Two LL120 RGB fans are pre-installed at the front to provide initial airflow, with lighting that is controllable via iCUE software. For system maintenance, filtered air intakes are located at the front, top, and bottom to reduce dust accumulation inside the main chamber.
