Delock FireWire Expansion Card PCI Express x1 (2 x FireWire 800, 1 x FireWire 400)

The Delock PCIe FireWire A/B Expansion Card (DE-89153) adds legacy IEEE 1394 connectivity to desktop computers. Installed in a single PCI Express x1 slot, this card provides dedicated FireWire ports for external peripherals. It supports a maximum data transfer rate of 800 Mbit/s via the integrated FireWire 800 interface, allowing users to connect external storage enclosures and digital video equipment to modern systems. This card enables workflows that require older hardware standards on current platforms.

The rear bracket features three ports, supporting both IEEE 1394a and 1394b standards. A Texas Instruments chipset manages data and device communication across the PCIe bus. Its internal form factor ensures secure mounting within the chassis to prevent cable disconnection during operation. The card supports legacy Windows versions, including Windows 2000, XP, and Vista, alongside modern operating systems.
