The Noctua NF-A8 FLX is an 80 mm cooling fan engineered specifically for systems that require efficient airflow management within restricted physical dimensions, such as HTPC or ITX enclosures. This unit maintains standard case fan sizing, measuring 80 mm in width and 25 mm in depth, ensuring broad compatibility with small form factor mounting points. It operates using a 3-pin connector and is designed without Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) speed support. At its maximum rotational speed of 2000 RPM, the fan delivers an airflow of 50.4 m³/h and generates 1.96 mmH₂O of static pressure.

Acoustic output remains minimized, registering 16.1 dB at full operational capacity. The fan package includes Low-Noise Adaptors (LNA) designed to reduce the speed profiles, allowing the user to set a quieter operational mode that lowers the noise level to 7.9 dB at 1200 RPM. The unit integrates SSO2 bearing technology, which is engineered for enhanced long-term stability and extended operational life.
