The Ubiquiti AmpliFi HD MeshPoint is a wall-plug node designed to extend the range of an existing AmpliFi mesh network. The device functions as a wireless expansion point using dual-band 802.11ac technology on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. It offers a maximum combined Wi-Fi speed of 1750 Mbit/s, with the 5 GHz band supporting data rates up to 1300 Mbit/s. Mesh technology allows the unit to sync with other nodes, maintaining a single network throughout the premises. This model is intended for homes where wireless dead spots need coverage without the need for additional cabling.

The device plugs directly into a standard AC outlet, removing the need for external power adapters. It features an adjustable high-density antenna that can be positioned to improve signal reception and transmission. There are no RJ-45 Ethernet ports or USB interfaces; the unit relies entirely on a wireless backhaul connection. Wireless traffic is secured using WPA2-PSK, WPA2-AES, and TKIP encryption.
