The StarTech.com PEXUSB3S2EI PCI Express x1 USB 3.2 Gen 1 expansion card adds high-speed ports to desktops or servers. Using a PCIe x1 interface, it supports data transfer rates up to 5 Gbit/s and adheres to the USB 3.2 Gen 1 standard. Built-in support for the USB Attached SCSI Protocol (UASP) improves read and write speeds when used with compatible storage devices. The card fits into any PCI Express 2.0 slot and is compatible with a range of motherboard architectures.

The card features a metal housing and provides four connections for internal and external devices. Two USB-A ports are located on the rear bracket, while two internal IDC headers connect to front-panel ports. An integrated SATA power connector draws power directly from the system power supply to ensure stability.
