Microconnect MC-USB-NEC2.0 5-Port USB 2.0 PCI Expansion Card

The Microconnect MC-USB-NEC2.0 4+1 port USB 2.0 PCIe expansion card adds USB ports to desktop computers. It uses the NEC PD720101 chipset and connects via a PCIe interface. The card supports data transfer rates up to 480 Mbit/s, complying with the USB 2.0 specification. This bandwidth is suitable for peripherals such as printers, scanners, and external storage drives, and includes backward compatibility for USB 1.1 devices. Four USB-A ports are located on the external bracket.

The card provides five USB 2.0 Type-A ports in total. Compatibility includes Windows 98 SE, 7, and 8, as well as Linux and Mac operating systems. The card installs into the system chassis, allowing users to connect several peripherals directly without needing an external hub. All ports operate as USB 2.0 interfaces.
