These ports operate at 10, 100, or 1000 Mbps and use autonegotiation to match the maximum speed of the connected computer, storage drive, or printer. As a Layer 2 device, it learns up to 2048 MAC addresses to forward frames to the correct destination without user management. Auto-MDI/MDIX functionality removes the need for crossover cables, simplifying the initial installation.

The 5-port model features a steel chassis designed for use in office environments. Its fanless design ensures silent performance, making it suitable for quiet workspaces or home offices.
